Guest Blog "World Mental Health Day" with Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind

Guest Blog "World Mental Health Day" with Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind

October is a special time. Autumn is in the air, and the world is rapidly changing. But, for local charities like Maidstone and Mid-Kent Mind, October is special for an entirely different reason – one which we hold closely to our hearts.

October the 10th marks an opportunity for local individuals, groups, organisations and businesses to come together to make a Maidstone and Mid Kent Mind 1real and lasting impact to the mental health services in their area. It’s an opportunity to band together, to spread awareness, and to fundraise for worthwhile causes. World Mental Health Day is important to us as an organisation, as it provides us with an opportunity to really connect with the local community – spreading the work we do and the services that we offer.

October is also special as it is the month where we host our Maidstone and Mid Kent Mind 2Annual Fun Run – another chance to bring the community together to raise awareness and fundraise to support mental health services in the area. This year’s event will take place on the 21st of October at Mote Park in Maidstone and will start at 10:30am. It’s a fantastic opportunity for new and existing runners to come together – tackling either 5k or 10k routes depending on their ability. I am delighted to share that this year, we have filled all our spaces – and will be bringing lots of community members together for this fantastic event!

We’ve included a few photos of this event within this blog post – Maidstone and Mid Kent Mind 3we hope you enjoy a sneak peek at this fantastic event which takes place each year!
